Description of issue:
Twitter does not show preview images even if all the hosts are allowed to crawl in our domain
URL affected (must be public):
Sorry you cannot post a link to that host.
Twitter preview
Troubleshooting steps attempted
Removed all the allowed and disallowed rules.
Here is the robots.txt file content
I have waited for over 2 days now, thinking it needs to be crawled again. I have checked that the image we are using is not too big and falls within the criteria.
Any help would be grateful!
There is no twitter:image tag for the page, so the cards crawler will fall back to og:image
It looks like the value is:
<meta name="og:image" content="https://www-internal-blog.chatwoot.com/content/images/2022/09/featured-image-1.jpg">
Is that intended?
Not really, I might have missed to add it.
I have updated the site to include the twitter:image tag now. How long do I need to wait till I can see test this?
OK, so if you genuinely did mean to have the image at that URL, then you need to also look at the robots file for the host where the image is being read from.
https://www-internal-blog.chatwoot.com/robots.txt
This blocks the image from being read.
