Hey there,

We applied to be whitelisted a couple of weeks ago and were accepted, but we just had one question around an inconsistency we’re seeing.

Our site is http://madewithpaper.fiftythree.com/ . It’s a Tumblr, but with our own custom theme and branding. So we didn’t add any special markup; the existing support for Tumblr previews “just worked”.

In the application, we gave all of our appropriate links and images for use in the preview attribution. That works correctly in some cases, e.g.:

https://twitter.com/FiftyThree/status/271641703289597955 (notice the attribution correctly shows our Twitter account)

But it shows Tumblr in other cases, e.g.:

https://twitter.com/FiftyThree/status/273551202569031684 (notice the attribution shows Tumblr’s Twitter account)

Why is this inconsistency present? Is there anything we or you guys can do to ensure previews for madewithpaper.fiftythree.com always show our Twitter account?

Hi. We applied and have been approved for Twitter Cards on our domain www.tranbylabour.com, yet despite this being two weeks ago our Cards do not work.

For example, this latest article (http://www.tranbylabour.com/anlaby-deer-shooting-must-be-treated-with-zero-tolerance/) works completely in the markup tool and looks great, but doesn’t deploy on our tweets.

I can’t get a .wf domain tested, resulting in an “invalid url” (in my case: ben.wf —works as its former domain, wittorf.me, though).

Any response would be greatly appreciated

Qobuz applied as soon as Twitter cards rolled out, and in the meantime, we did applied 2 other times, but no luck we are still not seeing anything.

Is this supposed to work with tweet using third-parties urls shortener?
For DRY purpose, we are using the documented opengraph fallback, may this cause issue?
(not concerning this website) What about site using ajax navigation and hashbang urls?

How often is twitter card cache cleared? I’ve noticed that if twitter has read the exact URL before, it won’t read it again even if the underlining data has changed. I’m curious if this is something that’s refreshed every day or maybe every manual random reset.

Just received an email saying my application was failed, yet when using the testing tool it shows fine. I double checked the tags, all there. Could anyone guide me in the right direction?

Just checked and I think I found the problem (on our side). This line did not work:

I will investigate our parser to see if the unencoded “e accent grave” is the culprit. In the meantime, you can fix this by encoding the entity &egrav;.
