Twitter Cards: I have a problem, help me!

Hi,

I’m having a problem trying to validate two different domains, in two different servers, and both give the same error:

"Something went wrong and your request to be added to the whitelist failed. Please try again.

Reason: Internal error when processing the whitelist request"

An example URL with a working card (it shows OK when previewed): http://adastraerrans.com/game-of-tenure/

I tried to whitelist these two domains a couple of weeks ago, and I received the same error… I thought that It was something that would eventually get fixed… but the problem remains

Any ideas?

Still having issues with my player card. I was approved with the following email

"Your request to be included in Twitter Cards has been approved. We’ve activated Summary and Photo cards for *.domain.com.

If you would like to have more domains approved, please fill out the form at https://dev.twitter.com/form/participate-twitter-cards again.

Thanks, The Twitter Cards Team"

However my domain is *.glmps.com not *.domain.com. How do I get this fixed?

I am also having problems

I tried the URL http://tweetperth.com.au/blog/top-10-perth-photos-of-the-week-8th-april-to-14th-april/ but the Twitter Card doesn’t show up on Twitter, although when I go to the URL validator it says that *.tweetperth.com.au approved.

Hello - I was able to Tweet that link and successfully rendered a Gallery Card. Are you still seeing issues with this?

That form no longer exists - you need to step through the validator to be approved for Twitter Cards.

Hi there. Is there a delay on getting gallery cards approved or is there a problem I need to fix? I have tested my urls e.g http://www.baldhiker.com/2013/04/16/a-perfect-day-in-rome-the-church-of-saint-ignatius-of-loyola/

and they seem to work still on the validator as when I submitted
for *.baldhiker.com

Hi, Is there a delay in authorizing Gallery Cards? I did all the mark up a good while back and it works on the validating tool for *.baldhiker.com eg for this url

We submitted our application for the product card a few weeks ago and haven’t heard anything back yet. How long does the approval / rejection typically take?

Also, everything looks good on the validator on my end, but if we did something wrong we’re happy to go back and fix it, just need to know what to do.

Ok, It’s been a week since I tried switching from Summary cards to Gallery cards, and I’ve gotten zero response from Twitter about why the Card Validator gives me System Errors and Timeouts, so I thought I’d play with it a little more.

I tried going back to Summary and the Validator says fine & dandy. Ok.

I went to Gallery again but with only image0, no image1 image2 or image3. That does give a result, with the missing tags pointed out. Ah hah! Looking at my web log, it seems that the Validator is fetching the four images, and I guess those four fetches plus the initial HTML fetch all have to complete within its three second timeout. I wouldn’t think that would be a problem, I have a nice fast web server and a reasonably wide data pipe, but indications are that there is some sort of bandwidth problem here.

I tried switching to thumbnail images instead of the medium-sized ones I want. That lets Validator give a result, although it’s not quite what I expected - it says everything is fine except that it can’t fetch image1. I don’t see anything different about that one vs. the other three images. In fact when I change the value of image1 to be the same as image2, Validator still says it can’t fetch image1 but image2 is fine. This is pretty weird.

Anyway I guess I’m closer to getting this to work.

I’m trying to validate https://beta.cameo.tv/c/1525 and the validator is unable to retrieve the image from http://api.beta.cameo.tv/file/c95548cb9b53923e8f02de7076bbbce534f24319. It’s a 302 forward, so just in case I tried putting the direct CDN link into the Try Cards field and still no luck.

It shows fine in the validator tool but I think it’s not activated yet?

It’s weird because I installed the code on a friends website a week after I installed it on mine and they’ve been approved already!

I have been using the Summary Cards just fine.
I switched to using the Photo Card.
I got the photo cards to work.
But the description does not appear.
Is there any way for the description to appear, too?

Hi, I submitted my domain to be whitelisted on 04/08/13 - 15 days ago - and I have not received any communication from Twitter at all.

The “Administrative Contact Twitter Username” I entered was my own, and was different from the “Website Twitter Name.” On the registration form below “Website Twitter Name,” it says “The owner of this Twitter account will have to confirm the request via email.”

I assumed that meant the owner of the “Website Twitter Name” would get an email right away, but that email address has not yet received any emails.

Should I expect an email soon? Or should I try again? Or should I give up and use a different kind of card?
