Twitter Cards: I have a problem, help me!

Please do not whitelist us as if this time. We noticed that the IOS functionality is not working. As it is currently configured we invoke the native IOS mp4 player. However the metadate is trying to invoke a flash player. Everything seems to work fine until we press the thumbnail to play and it looks for flash on IOS. We need to work on it more.

I found the issue in the twitter documentation, in the name=“twitter:player:stream:content_type” meta info, the part that says mpa.40.2 should be mp4a.40.2 with the 4 in between the P and the A. Worked like a charm after that!

We now seem to have fixed all the issues. Its working on IOS and we’ve implemented the other changes you suggested.

We’ve recently been accepted for Twitter cards for our www.UPC.FM domain, and when we test it in the preview it works fine, however on Twitter they are still not showing up. Any help in sorting out whats wrong would be greatly appreciated!

Ah, believe to have found the problem. We only submitted the domain www.UPC.FM and not just UPC.FM. Should we submit another application or can someone whitelist that domain for us too?

Our Twitter Cards stopped working all of a sudden, around February 24th.

The weird thing: The Debug Tool on https://dev.twitter.com/docs/cards/preview gives two Errors when I feed with a Media URL, but works fine if I paste in the page’s source code.

So http://tadaa.im/y53cGu or https://www.tadaa.net/Frall/post/6517e3d6d5ca5d6e7dfdad9f8defc219 result into:
• Missing Tag: twitter:title
• Missing Tag: twitter:description

However, these tags are present – and if I paste the page’s source into the debug tool’s textarea, it validates fine and also shows the Twitter Card Preview.

From a developer point of view, I would like to suggest that if you are going to state “Player cards needs to be tested in at least 5 different contexts”, you should at least give a tool or a set of tools for these different contexts. Right now, the preview tool only works for 1 of these. i.e. “modern desktop browser”.

I already submitted my site for player card approval, using your preview tool, fulfilling your requirements, following your to-do and avoiding your not-to-do list. But without being able to test it, i can’t be 100% sure the card is working on every context you require.

I just received the email that summary and photo cards are approved for http://catwoman-cattales.com and have what may be a stupid question.
Summary card is displaying fine with the preview tool, but nothing shows up in the tweets.
I need to know if I must make some change to the tweet button, just wait, relax and burn some sage, or what. (Not a dev, use small words please)

Hi. We’ve been having issues with our Twitter cards. Up until a few days ago they were working (they’ve already been approved) and suddenly this week, they stopped working and no longer display. When we attempt to look at the test markup tool, it comes up with the error message, “Sorry, looks like we’re having some technical problems. Please try again in a few minutes.” for every one we try. We’ve checked our markup and everything is as it should be. Please advise?
