But @artesea you’re using get_the_excerpt() outside the loop ! Description won’t work while it’s required for Twitter cards.

Can anyone help? I’d like my tweets be sent to WP as a Twitter card (but a bit more)

I’m using the IFTT recipe I created: https://ifttt.com/recipes/113580 which in theory works. Is there any way I can have it actually post as a image though so it can populate on my homepage (which is a portfolio page)? I’m thinking this can be done but will need some filters…I just dont know what those would be as of now. Each post will be a set category so there should be enough consistency to make this happen.

Can anyone help?

Have a look at the NGFB or WPSSO plugins - they support all Twitter Card formats and build your card information from your existing content. No need to manually enter anything.
