Twitter card validation "failed due to an internal error"

The card validator gives me an error: “Fetching the page failed due to an internal error, debugId: 1711736734479-414512” but I can’t see anything wrong with my page/permissions/robots.txt etc.

Example URL is http://modernculture.co.uk/event/northern-landscapes/

I am getting the error “Fetching the page failed due to an internal error” for several websites which are on the same server, could it be blocked for some reason?

I tried asking Twitter support and they told me “We do not provide technical support” and advised me to “search through our Developer discussions” but no-one seems to know what the “internal error” problem is here.

Can someone please help?

Having the same issue. Looks like there is no official solution from twitter anywhere.

It looks like the Twitterbot cannot access the robots.txt file (receiving a 403 forbidden error). Once the crawler can access http://duq9ilxv97s8s.cloudfront.net/robots.txt, the image can be fetched on the card should render.
