Twitter card refuses to pull images from Wordpress

#1

Hi everyone,
We have our Twitterbot set up correctly in robots.txt. Additionally, the Yoast SEO plug-in is set up correctly within Wordpress to recognize our Twitter account, and it’s set up for Summary + Large Image there.

However, Twitter cards still refuse to pull the image from any of our Wordpress posts.

The blog is here:

You can see what it looks like when you plug it into the Twitter card validator:

Help!

You need to include a full URL to the accessible image file (including the http protocol segment), not a partial one. You may also need to wait until the cards crawler refreshes its cache 7 days later, for any links you’ve previously shared.

Understood about waiting 7 days as that’s all it might take, hopefully.

I don’t understand your first sentence, though. Where do I need to include a full URL to the accessible image file?

Currently you have:

<meta name="twitter:image" content="/wp-content/uploads/star-wars-facts-to-awaken-your-curiosity-ft.jpg" />

This should be:

<meta name="twitter:image" content="https://www.colorfulplaces.com/wp-content/uploads/star-wars-facts-to-awaken-your-curiosity-ft.jpg" />

Hmm. I don’t see any way to change that in Yoast SEO for all Wordpress pages.
