Twitter card never shows image

Description of issue: Twitter & validator never show image in summary. Stopping me posting links.

Troubleshooting steps attempted [note that we will not prioritise posts unless there is evidence of following the troubleshooting guides]:

I have tried various things such as:

1. additions to our robots.txt file which allows everything so should not be an issue.
2. Clearing our CDN in case caching was an issue.
3. Adding wordpress plugins such as jetpack, JM twitter cards & changing settings on yoast.
