<meta name="twitter:description" content="Tips about Healthy Food" />

<meta name="twitter:site" content="@HealthyFoodsT" />

robots.txt shows:
User-agent: *

Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

twitter plugin is installed.

Both sites are on wordpress. I dont know anything else how to check.

#16

So what is the issue? Posting your URL results in a summary card as expected. There’s no image, because your meta tags do not include an image reference.

#17

How can i solve that, step by step.

#18

Add a twitter:image tag.

The documentation for the summary card is here and our Wordpress plugin documentation is here.

#19

Twitter plugin has only one field to set username:

I really dont understand how can i add twitter:image tag on wordpress site?

#20

I believe you’ll have an image added in the card if there is one in your post.

#21

According to the plugin user documentation there might be an option in the post meta editor to customise the card? I’m afraid I don’t have it installed here to check.

#22

There is option, but only for text for Twitter Card:
If i enter information about
Title
and
Description
and update the post.
then go to validator with my post: http://www.healthyfoodst.com/a-perfect-drink-for-speeding-up-metabolism/

I too am having the issue where My page validates fine showing the image I describe in my Meta tag. But when I click the button on the page. The tweet does not display the image nor does it tweet it if I post the tweet.
Here is my page:

I have been struggling with this for a few days now and would buy someone a cup of special coffee if they can help me out! I have checked the troubleshooting guide a few times… I don’t see a problem…
Thanks…

**EDIT
I see the image next to the tweet HERE ABOVE when I embed the URL in this post… ODD… but I do NOT see it nor do my coworkers when we click the link on the page itself…

#24

Anyone else who can help? It really helps when you simply add url, and twitter card do the rest of the job, now i need to upload image, write title… Where is the problem with my site?

#25

Hi, no solution for you. But just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. I’m having similar problems, though in my case sometimes a card shows up but it usually doesn’t (around 1/100 times). Very frustrating since it’s NOT consistent.

#26

You’re trying to share the link http://www.icvdm.com - there is no twitter:card markup that I can find on that page.

#27

OK I figured this out . The link you share has to have the meta tag markup at THAT location…
THanks

#28

Andy I do have another question
I have this Tweet “Button”

I add the text “test” before the share link.

The tweet DOES display the Card image as defined in the Meta Tags, so That’s great.

(Why it does not show in the Tweet box is another question…)
Does the Image ALWAYS link back to the page the tweet button is on?
My meta tag

<meta name="twitter:url" content="http://www.conferencewebcasting.com">

does not list the page - only the FQDN (index.php)
Can the image link somewhere else besides the page the tweet button is on via meta tags?
