Twitter button not counting anymore

Hello.

The twitter button on my website is not counting anymore.

Here is a sample page that has gotten a number of tweets: http://www.kriskris.com/is-diet-soda-bad-for-you/

I am using the new javascript code provided for the tweet button, the only thing I added was data-count=“vertical” to change the button to the tall configuration.

I tried switching to the TweetMeme button for a while, and it showed the correct amount of tweets. I’d rather use the default button.

And it’s not just this one page that isn’t counting, it’s pretty much most of my posts now. I don’t have any plugins that should interfere with this, and I enter all my code in manually. My website uses the latest edition of Wordpress and is hosted with Hostgator.

Please, does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Same here…we use a lot of tweet buttons for our engagement blog/article pages at Philips Consusmer site. Now at a sudden the tweet counter stopped counting and we cannot measure anymore (or at least show the visitors) how many tweets already were sent for the article.

Please update us on the status of the fix for this issue, so we can use the full functionality of the tweet button/counter.

Hi, the past week all my tweet buttons have returned to zero. I haven’t had problems with any other software and haven’t new apps or anything. In fact I’m quite basic where IT is concerned.

Can you please help? I know retweets are being done because I see them in Twitter but now I’m becoming worried as I’ve spent hours looking into this.

It appears that you’re using a third party Twitter button, which we’re unable to support.

Testing with the official button, I see some counts. For example, putting http://subrosa-blonde.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/why-did-john-redwood-anger-alex-salmond.html into https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons#tweet shows a count of 3 in the preview pane.

It’s my Follow button at the top that no longer shows the count. It’s very frustrating since I had it lined up with my other social media icons that show their counts. Haven’t changed any code on my end.

I have the same problem with Follow button. It no longer shows the count. Code should be ok.

A button on our site was counting fine until the past day or so, now it sits at zero and won’t change when people tweet from the page. We receive several tweets from the page a day. I haven’t changed the code: http://www.stopthecuts.com.au/Take-action Any help you can give is much appreciated.

Hello again, there now seems to be a count however I don’t think it’s reliable. Yesterday the count was in the 40s and today it’s dropped back to the 30s.

me too having same issue. we all tweeted but it still shows count as zero

yes we are using addthis plugin too, but when i test with twitter’s official code too, it shows as zero count.
