Hi,
I would like some clarity on the TOS and Automation Rules for Twitter. I have done a decent amount of search but nothing of value came out of it.
My question is about the rule that says no same Tweet can be Tweeted again from one account. Specifically the last rule under the heading Spamming on this page: https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/twitter-automation
Here is what it says:
Spamming: You may not send automated Tweets or Direct Messages that are spam, or otherwise engage in spamming activity. Some examples of spammy behavior to avoid with automation include:
-
Multiple posts/accounts: You may not post duplicative or substantially similar Tweets on one account or over multiple accounts you operate.
I see that some of the popular apps allow users to repeat the same Tweet after a few days. This is clearly against the rule, but the apps claim it is OK. Is that the case? Can we get some definite answer on when it is OK and when not? If it is not OK what can be done to stop people from putting their accounts in harm’s way.
