Twitter API v2 calls archive search based on a #

Hello,
For my research thesis I am trying to gather data to analyse the discussion occurred in 2014 and 2020 around specific hashtags and a specific timeframe.

I cannot find a way to collect the data and I do not understand how the query must be built.

I tried with python and tweepy, still it won’t work.

Can anybody help?

Example - timeframe: from 25th of May 2020 (10pm) to 31st of May 2020 (12am) with hashtags #blacklivesmatter OR #georgefloyd.

That twarc tutorial doesn’t use the academic access endpoint, but it’s good practice to get familiar with using tools to get data. This is a good place to start. Remember that to gather older than 7 day tweets in v2 you need Academic Access, which you apply for separately: Twitter Developer Access - twarc
