Twitter api and ampersand issue

#1

Hi all,

I’m trying to send the following message, but I’m getting

Unhandled Exception: System.Net.WebExcept
r: (403) Forbidden.

Here’s the message I’m trying to send.
var status = “sally’s test drive&plus+much more. - http://www.google.com/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=ticking+away+the+moments+that”;
Uri.EscapeDataString(status); //.Net method, results shown below

status=sally%26%23039%3Bs%20test%20drive%20%26amp%3B%20plus%2Bmuch%20more.%20-%20http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F%23hl%3Den%26amp%3Boutput%3Dsearch%26amp%3Bsclient%3Dpsy-ab%26amp%3Bq%3Dticking%2Baway%2Bthe%2Bmoments%2Bthat

Notes:
If I add a space around & between drive and plus, the update status works.

Can you please share some insight about the results I’m getting? Can you point me in the right direction if there are some caveats with sending Twitter Update status through 1.1 API?
