Tweet button vertical count inconsistency

I noticed an issue while working with javascript to create a function that takes in an associative array of the tweet button parameters and returns the data-param="" portion of the button anchor. When I tried to create a tweet share button that had both ‘data-size=“large”’ and ‘data-count=“vertical”’ the resulting button wouldn’t display as I expected, a large button with the count above it. This problem was not present with size of medium, or with count of horizontal and size of large.

Is this intentional, or an issue? It strikes me as odd that the buttons would be designed such that the follow doesn’t have a vertical count, both follow and share have horizontal, and the share button has both medium/large horizontal counts as well as the small vertical count without a large vertical count.
