Twitter Widget.js is loaded from https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js which is correct.
Safari try to load counter value from https://urls.api.twitter.com/1/urls/count.json?callback=jQuery1102025407230271957815_1377852228485&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.poin.co%2Fbook%2F362881780262412294&_=1377852228486 but it does not work due to invalid SSL. I think this error cause the counter to fail.
SSL cert for the url (https://urls.api.twitter.com) is for “a248.e.akamai.net” host. Which invalidate the SSL access to the URL
I think it does not depends on platform, but I am using
Mac Book Pro Retina 15 OSX 10.8.4 Safari 6.0.5 Google Chrome
