Tweet Box: Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing—we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon

#1

I have implemented Tweet Box in my site, as well as a Connect with Twitter button, but once I click the tweet button or connect button and then click connect on the popup screen I get the error message of:

Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.

How do I fix this?

The code is as follows:

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<title>Untitled Document</title>

    <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

<script src="http://platform.twitter.com/anywhere.js?id=yRWHylXjnyWMvjvnRgFXDA&v=1" type="text/javascript"></script>

</head>

<body>
<table width="405" height="596" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  <tr>
    <td>

    <div id="example-custom"></div>

    <script type="text/javascript">

     twttr.anywhere(function (T) {

       T("#example-custom").tweetBox({

         'counter' : true,

         'height'  : 100,

         'width'   : 400,

         'label' : "What have you accomplished today?",

         'defaultContent' : "I ",

       });

     });

    </script></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td>    <span id="twitter-connect-placeholder"></span>

    <script type="text/javascript">

      twttr.anywhere(function (T) {

        var currentUser,

            screenName,

            profileImage,

            profileImageTag;

        if (T.isConnected()) {

          currentUser = T.currentUser;

          screenName = currentUser.data('screen_name');

          profileImage = currentUser.data('profile_image_url');

          profileImageTag = "<img src='" + profileImage + "'/>";

          $('#twitter-connect-placeholder').append("Logged in as " + profileImageTag + " " + screenName);

        } else {

          T("#twitter-connect-placeholder").connectButton();

        };

      });

    </script></td>
  </tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>

Make sure that you’ve configured your site’s domain name as a fully qualified URL in the callback URL frield of your application record on dev.twitter.com for the site you’ll be using @Anywhere. If you need more than one domain or subdomain, use the add domains feature after adding the initial callback.

#3

Hi…have changed access of application to READ and WRITE mode and also call back url is fine…still got the same error…

#4

in callback url field, put the same url of your site

I’m having the same issue for over a week. I can tweet but am unable to view profiles (including my own) or see new friend requests. The same error message appears"something is technically wrong".

I’ve contacted Twitter support 3xs and have not been assisted properly. The solution options they listed are not helpful and do not relate to this specific issue.

I thought my problem was unique but I was wrong. I have the same problem. It’s been going for almost a week. I cannot view profiles or see my own profile. I reported the Something is Technically Wrong message to Twitter, and they are non-responsive. None of their suggestions apply to my problem.

Frankly, I am fed up with Twitter. Poor customer service.

I’ve been having the same exact problem for the past week and here I thought it was just me. You’re right, they don’t have a solutions option that relates to this specific issue. So what now?
