[Tweepy] How to identify high quality twitter accounts without applying "verified accounts" criteria?

Hello,

I’m working on a tweets project using tweepy. I filter the tweets by “verified accounts”, because I only want to focus on accounts that are high quality/real/influential.

But realizing the verification process has been suspended earlier this year, it’s likely that new people that join Twitter this year and onward will not be included in my study, i.e. “verified accounts” become a static sample pool that’s likely shrinking over time. Has anyone thought about any other ways to filter the tweets?
