Dear Twitter Staff,

Our users have recently started experiencing issues with authorizing our Twitter app (via oauth), getting the “This application cannot authenticate more users at this time” error. From what I’ve gathered, there is a 100k limit on the number of generated tokens, but we definitely don’t hit such numbers (we currently have 80+ that we are aware of). What should we do in that case? Is there some other reason we are hitting this limit? Any help greatly appreciated.

The most common reason that I see this happening is when an application has been granted access to the Ads API. I’ll have to check with someone on the Ads side to see what might be happening here.

You are still in the developer stage, which means you have a limited token cap. Please set up a meeting to demo your platform with us at t.co/meeting to move towards Standard access, which will grant unlimited tokens.
