Hello,
We applied for and were granted developer access to the Ads API, for app_id 8696000, which is our general-purpose app we use for federated access to our services. Once we were granted access, this app became subject to the 5-token limit and has crippled the normal running of our business. We’re getting the dreaded “This application cannot authenticate more users at this time” message when trying to initiate tokens.

We’ve created a new sanboxed app_id to prove our business case using the Ads API. Could you switch our Ads API access to this app_id: 16649742

Alternatively: is there a way to revoke the tokens so we’re starting from scratch?

Thank you!

Hi @quick_frame,

I transferred access to 16649742.
Best,
Carmen

Hi Carmen,
Following up here, is there a way to revoke tokens from the developer’s end?
(Our app ID is 8467049 and we have also reached our quota)

Thanks!
Mortaza

Hi @mortazakarimi,

There is no way to revoke tokens from the developer’s end. Are you at a stage where you want to move to Standard access (unlimited tokens)? You will need to do a demo of your platform, and provide 2 testimonials of why your clients like to use your platform.

To book this demo, please go to https://twitteradsapi.as.me/schedule.php.

Best,
Carmen

Hello,
We experienced the same problem as stated here. We also applied for and were granted developer access to the Ads API, for app_id 16485623, which is our general-purpose app we use for posting and its related options. Once we were granted access, this app became subject to the 5-token limit and has crippled the normal running of our business. We’re getting the dreaded “This application cannot authenticate more users at this time” message when trying to initiate tokens.

We’ve created a new sandbox app_id to prove our business case using the Ads API. Could you switch our Ads API access to this app_id: 17147579
Thank you in advance.

We experienced the same problem :frowning:

Can you explain why, when you apply for the Ads API, the limitation to 5 tokens is not clear, for the initial access? Are you assuming that this will not apply to existing tokens?

Is this not made clear on this page? Twitter Ads API Documentation | Docs | Twitter Developer Platform

Are you applying for Ads API access, when what you really want is ongoing stats rather than an integration with our Ads interface? Why have you added Ads API access when your apps break when you do so?

How can we make this more clear, to avoid future issues?

Hello Andy,

Thank you for getting back. It is not clear in the API overview guide that it will impact our current integration.

With Twitter Ads API we aim to build a tool where our customers can create and publish ads on Twitter and view basic performance data.

Limiting our current integration with the standard api access(post, retrieve, engage) to five OAuth tokens has impacted the experience of our existing and new customers and we really need a solution for this.

Please advise if it is possible to transfer Ads API access to this app_id: 17147579.

Thank you.

Hi @dev_practina,
You are all set!
