I had this issue in one of my websites.it was occurred due to wrong server time in my case.I changed it,and it worked successfully.

We too are getting this error message all of a sudden. We haven’t changed the server or this part of the app in months.

The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

Authorization works for everything else. It’s only when we try to authenticate a new user when we get this error.

I checked the server clock and it’s the right time (the timezone is Central). Locally, this works (Eastern time zone).

Why would the production server not be able to authorize a new account but we can locally?
