Hi,
I am a PhD student in sociology and my application for using the twitter data for my research has been rejected. I do not intend to use personal information, but only public information about the covid-19 pandemic, as I explained in my application. I would very much that twitter review this rejection. As it seems that will not be reviewed nor allow me appeal. I created this topic just to complain and say that this will harm two years of effort and study.
Thanks for reaching out here. We can’t comment on specific cases on this forum, but applications may be rejected for our academic product for many reasons.
At this point, we don’t have a way to appeal or overturn rejections. This is something we’ve heard from others and are exploring for the future. I’ve also passed on your feedback for the team to consider.
I’m going to go ahead and close this topic since there are few other similar ones already.
