When I have a rule like "#trump is:reply lang:en’, I get tweets that are not replies. Like this one 1563721216820756480 . Any ideas ?
in the API, tweets that start with an @user like that, are counted as replies. They’re more like replying to a user - it’s a bit weird but on twitter’s website, these tweets only appear to followers of @user rather than appearing to everyone that follows @author - so they behave like replies, despite not replying to a tweet.
