Streaming API : Place field

Place field can refer to actual place the tweet originated from.
Also, it may contain information about the place the tweet talks about.

Can I filter out place information that actually represent origin of the tweet ?

Does tweet contain a flag or some sort of distinguishing attribute which tells the place is about tweet location not about tweet content location ?

Tweet origin is sometimes found in the coordinates field.

The place field can refer to anything the user wants it to. There is no flag that expresses what the user wants.
