[Streaming API] Coordinates, Place, and Geo values are "none" although location parameter is set

I wonder why coordinates, place, and geo values are all “none” although location parameter is set in mostly result? So how does the API know that the results are associated to that location?

Hi, same problem here.
When using Streaming API to crawl data from Twitter. Filter function has a “locations” parameter which corresponds to a Bounding box of a region (coordinates of the south west corner and the north east corner).
However, Twitter occasionally returns Null (None) coordinates. The question here is: How Twitter knows that the tweet is located in specified shape? If not why the value of “Coordinates” is null sometimes ?
