Hi,
Regarding the future of the Stream API and the ability to get real time data, following the announcements of the “Account Activity API” ( https://blog.twitter.com/developer/en_us/topics/tools/2017/announcing-more-functionality-to-improve-customer-engagements-on-twitter.html
)
Currently, the stream API allows to track up to 5000 users, even though its doesn’t provide events on all user’s actions its still a (very) good tool to update the app in real time.
The new Account Activity API, is great but monitoring 5000 (and more) users will only be available in the enterprise packages (with a very high price tag).
Since the stream is due to stop on June 2018, is there a replacement other then the enterprise level Account Activity API to monitor a larger amount of users in real time?
