Stream API refuses connection after working perfectly for many months

The Stream API refuses connection after working perfectly for many months. The Stream has just a simple follow, one oauth credential always running on the same machine.

Using the Ruby GEM “tweetstream” 2.6.0, the error is…

/usr/local/rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p545/gems/tweetstream-2.6.0/lib/tweetstream/client.rb:451:in `block in connect’: Failed to reconnect after 6 tries. (TweetStream::ReconnectError)

The REST API works fine from the same machine.

The only recent change has been the introduction of a scheduled daily reboot for the machine - causing a reconnect to the streaming API. After the last reboot, the stream refused to reconnect - and continues to refuse connection two days later.

Please advise.

Hi - have you tried to verify this using twurl or something similar on the command line? Could you paste in the raw HTTP request / response headers?
