We’ve only got an error from the server
whenever we call ‘POST ads-api.twitter.com/3/stats/jobs/accounts/…’
since this morning(around 6 AM, Japan Time).
Before then, it had worked normally.
Did something happen or change at the API server today?
Here is the message we got.
HTTP status: 403
code: ACTION_NOT_ALLOWED
reason: Permissions Set(ACCOUNT_ADMIN, AD_MANAGER, AD_VIEWER) are required for entity Campaign.
Any information will be helpful.
We are currently working to resolve this issue, it should be back to working state within the next 1 or 2 hours. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
John
Hey @daiki
The issue should be resolved now, can you verify and let us know if you’re still experiencing any issues?
Thanks!
@imit8me - I am still facing this issue. Please let me know what needs to be done here ?
It looks like the user making the request doesn’t have the necessary permissions to access this data. The user will need to change their access type either AD_MANAGER, AD_VIEWER or ACCOUNT_ADMIN to make these calls.
@imit8me - Regarding Ads API, In case we use account specific access tokens - do we need these permissions from ads side ? Also, There were no permissions change from our side and this had been working until 10 days before. The twitter account owner had granted “Studio Account Administrator” .
Please advise.
We had made a change to enforce Ads permissions with respect to our stats endpoints. A “Studio Account Administrator” user permission doesn’t permit them access to reporting data. This user should update their permissions to any of the ones listed in my previous response in order to be able to pull these metrics. This can only be done via the ads.twitter.com UI and by the account administrator or the Full Promotable user on the account.
@imit8me when I try clicking on the “Twitter Ads” on the twitter home page, It redirects me to ads.twitter.com page but it has all components as of media studio. Please see screenshot.
Summary
How do I change “Studio Account Administrator” to “Account Administrator” role ?

To answer your question:
How do I change “Studio Account Administrator” to “Account Administrator” role ?
As previously stated:
This can only be done via the ads.twitter.com UI and by the account administrator or the Full Promotable user on the account
Hope that clears things up!
Hi @imit8me,
I am currently logged into the twitter account and if I go to ads.twitter.com UI, Click “Edit Access to account”. I can see the same options as I see with studio.twitter.com that is - “Studio Account Administrator”, “Studio Contributor”, “Studio Publisher”, “Studio Analyst”. I can share my screen if we could get on a call ?
Please see the screenshot here Stats Job returns an Error 403 - #8 by shyamsmallaya
I have logged into ads.twitter.com but unable to see the options/roles you mentioned ?

Are you the account administrator or the Full Promotable user on the account?
Feel free to take a look at the guide for this as well.
