Standard beta Account Activity API: Getting liked tweets from people I follow

How can I get the likes feed of people I follow via an api like the one found in tweetdeck?

These likes are being called from api.twitter.com/1.1/activity/by_friends.json which we are currently not allowed access to.

Could this be available as an option in Account Activity API (beta) similar to the favorite_events Account Activity Data Objects? Maybe something like following_favorite_events?

If not, I personally think this would make a great addition to the Account Activity API. What is the preferred channel for submitting feature requests?

Hey @steffes - Thanks for the feedback. Currently, the Account Activity API is for owned or authed accounts, it does not track followers in the way you are mentioning.

This does not, however, mean we won’t consider this for future APIs.
