https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js currently has an SSL error causing it not to load. Instead an ugly error in the browser comes up if you try to access it directly.
true… facing the same problem… I’m using tween follow button with js , its not loading on https. Even the iframe ver has the same probs
Yeah I also facing a issue with following ssl error
SSL ERROR: You attempted to reach platform.twitter.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as si0.twimg.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of platform.twitter.com. You should not proceed.
same problems (iframe on https)
We have been working with our CDN provider to resolve the issue, right now the ETA is 1.5-2 hours.
Clients are now reporting success, it still may take 1-1.5 hours for 100% coverage
The issue is now resolved, thank you everyone for your patience!
Getting AccessDenied errors trying to retrieve the Follow button script:
Follow @DanielTorrey
Gets me:
AccessDenied
Experiencing the same issue. Just stopped working about a half hour ago. //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Access Denied
Do you mean you get the text “access denied” when visiting http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js in your browser? Do you still see this?
twitter api running fine with android 2.2 but not working in android 2.1 emulator , showing some SSL cert error , do anyone have an idea how to solve it??
See [node:533] for details on the certs you need to have in place.
Not sure if this is the correct place for this… but I have the twitter follow widget on a page and am intermittently getting Access Denied. Here’s the exact text: “AccessDeniedAccess DeniedD78AEDEA99B20779L5fCZT1pcdqAGT5RhVJ5VO2yHxRuQVOa+97ds8F4ZAetr/OkAdt9IK+ksrylsWoc”
Hi @claytonwaters, could you please provide a url so we could help debug?
I’m also having this problem. Here’s the access denied error I’m getting: http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/follow_button.1326407570.html#_=1329862178146&_version=2&enableNewSizing=false&id=twitter-widget-0&lang=en&screen_name=bsdblog&show_count=true&size=m The url is brainshutdown.com
@bsdblog
I took a look at your site which is bundling an old version of our widgets, which is now pointing to a reference to a follow button that doesn’t exist anymore. The bundled file located here: http://www.brainshutdown.com/js/jquerylibs.1326822267.js
We suggest developers to link to: //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
Thanks for the fix!
I’m getting ‘access denied’ instead of the twitter follow button on my website www.freespiritdesigns.co.uk
can you help?!
i`m getting the same error in a iframe button. and cache is clean
Hi @FreeSpiritDesi1, I took a look at your page and you are incorrectly linking to a cached version of the follow button:
http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/follow_button.1326407570.html
Please update your links to point to: http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/follow_button.html?screen_name=
How did you originally generate that code? It looks like the params where set incorrectly too. Have you taken a look at the suggested documentation here: https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons
