Special link in direct message button

hello guys,

I have implemented https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/direct-messages/buttons/api-reference/buttons well, thanks for the documentation.

My question is, can I replace the url with a special link? As you know, the url currently supported is http or https protocol. There is a case that wants me to create a link to open an sms app on Android.

I am using the RFC 5724 guide https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5724 regarding the use of the sms: // protocol to create links. I’ve tried to link to url “sms://3346?body=Hello” but it’s always considered not a valid url.

Is it not yet supported? or is there something I need to do in order to work correctly?

Its kind of question, not a reply. I wanted to check since you implemented DM button. Are you providing the user the menu for CTA(Call to action) buttons OR the person(from business side) replying to the user some link/message through API which will appear like a button in DM without having any menu OR in other words the user doesnot select any menu but the person from business post a link/message which appears like button.
