"Sign out" during "Sign in with Twitter" returns 404

#1

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open https://dev.twitter.com/rest/tools/console
  2. Click “OAuth 1” in Authentication drop-down.
  3. Click “Sign in with Twitter”
  4. In popup window click on your username in top-right corner and click “Sign out”
  5. Observe HTTP 404 “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” error page. URL in browser: https://api.twitter.com/intent/session

Same problem exists with “Sign in with Twitter” functionality in other services.

Twitter, please respond to this. Customers are not able to log-in and use your services.

Hi @isaach, thanks for reply.
Are there any heads up regarding this case? It’s still not working…

This issue already appeared at least once in 2013: https://twitter.com/TimHaines/status/312340320056655872
Maybe it will give some clue.

It is still not working for me, too.

I clicked the “ログアウト” button (screen shot: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bzf9U6-CMAAOMao.png),
then went to https://twitter.com/intent/session and got 404.

Same here, unable to signout…
When can we expect a solution for this issue…?

#7

Please, please please fix this! It’s a major bug in the sign-in process!

The “Log In” buttons on this very page exhibit the same bug, so I know I’m not alone in experiencing this.

This issue was fixed for some time, but now is happening again. Steps to reproduce are the same. Please help.

#10

We’re working on it.

#11

This seems to be broken still. Any news, @isaach?

#12

Hi, Yes I confirm the problem still exists for me, its now been a few weeks, and the only workaround to allow you login as a new user, is to clear all browser cookies, which is not ideal and embarrasing explaining to my customers. Any updates would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

#13

just adding to the confirm that it is still there.

#14

@isaach are you still going to fix it?

#15

We’re still looking into this, apologies for the ongoing issues.
