Show followers by date?

Hi, I wish to create a chart of number of followers by date, but it seems it’s not possible with Twitter API.
The thing is, some apps like manageflitter.com seems to to this, but I don’t know how… hopefully they just don’t save the count everyday…

Anybody knows something about it?

Twittercounter.com is also getting it. Why? Some kind of “special” API?

No special API. Those sites would have to be manually tracking this based on follows/unfollows they store away themselves.
