Show endpoint returns t.co urls instead of full tweets

Hello,

I am confused about the t.co urls in the api responses.
I am not getting full tweets as responses. the text gets truncated with a t.co url.
Is this a part of some sort of character limitation.
Is there a way to get full data in the api response.
Any information would be helpful.

Use tweet_mode=extended on the API call.
