REST API v1
Im trying to follow the number of tweets the mention some keywords.
So I am using the Search API but the results are very different comparing with the results from Twitter website.
In my script, the results I get are almost the same, just retweets while in website the tweets are not the same.
When you're looking at search results on Twitter.com, are you looking at the relevance-sorted search or the real-time ("classic") search? Only classic search is available from the API right now.
https://twitter.com/#!/search/Twitter%20API would give you relevance sorted results.
https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/Twitter%20API will give you more exhaustive (well, as exhaustive as the Search API is) results.
Thanks. Actually I was looking at the relevance-sorted search.
I didnt know that relevance sorted wasnt avaible from the API.
So i think i will have to do some process to get just the unique tweets. Maybe comparing the differents sources??
any updates from this from 28 weeks ago? wondering we we can now configure the simple twitter search api to return relevant results so it matches Twitter search UI results.
