Search tweet keywords in user lists

Today I’m using the twitter search API to search tweets in my apps.

I was wondering if the results of the search can be limited only to specific user list.

Try adding from:username to your search query, where you replace username, with the username of the Tweet Author.

Adding from:username will limit the search for a specific user, however I’m trying to limit the search to a specific user list.

For example:
The user @Twitter has the list Twitter Engineering and I want the limit the search only for that list, instead of receiving all the matching user’s tweets.

I don’t think that’s possible, but if you find a way, please tell me that I was wrong.
