Search Timelines via API? | Twitter's ending support for embedded Timelines/Tweets

Dear all,

in our company we use Twitter quite intensively and rely on embedded Tweets and Search Timelines. As I have understood, Twitter will end its support for Search Timelines on August 16, 2018. All embedded Twitter elements will be available only at publish.twitter.com.
As me and my colleagues do not have a deeper technical understanding, my question is: does the possibility exist to continue using search timelines via other tools, such as API? How would that work then?
My other question is: will the changes affect the already embedded Tweets & Timelines on our website? At the moment we have the discussion, if all Tweets and Timelines that we already have on our websites have to be adjusted in some kind of way - which would be a lot of work.

I would be very glad if someone could answer that question.

As of July 27, any embedded timelines that use search results will cease to display and just provide a link to the search on Twitter. There is no impact on embedded Tweets.

Will profile timelines be affected though? And is there another way to display Search Timelines via other tools?

Profile timelines are unaffected and are served via the tools available at publish.twitter.com - search timelines relied on outdated infrastructure (very old search API, and need to configure as a widget in account settings, which is also based on an old stack) so they are the only timeline embeds affected by this announcement.

I’m not aware of alternative ways to display search timelines, but others may well have built their own implementations of something similar.
