Search API 1.1 - retweet count

I see that we have a retweet count in the response from the Search API v1.1. Is this the number of retweets at the point in time that the search was made?

So, if a tweet is posted at 1pm, then there are 5 retweets between 1pm and 2pm, then the original tweet turns up in the search at 2pm… will the retweet count be 5?

Yes, the retweet_count reflects the time of the query – though the actual numbers are “eventually consistent” in that they do not necessarily immediately increment upon retweet and more gradually drift to a measure of current truth.
