Rules and regulations for creating an interface to Twitter feeds

I am currently working on a website that – if implemented – would have an interface between Twitter and the website. Thus, selected tweets Twitter would automatically be shown via a feed on the site, that I am thinking about creating.

But before I start the project I wanted to clarify if there are any legal issues or other terms and/or permissions I should be aware of before setting up such a site?

Generally, as long as you’re honoring those terms (such as “don’t surprise users”, respect the privacy of data marked private, process deletion messages you receive or are otherwise made aware of, and that you follow the display requirements wherever Twitter Content is displayed, generally you can use the Streaming API to collect, retain, and display tweets.
