Rich data /media tweet - opengraph or opentweet ? iframes in tweets!

How does Amazon provide that kind of rich data in tweets ?Is there any chance to have an open standard such opengraph ? See this tweet http://twitter.com/#!/themihai/status/173042708510801920
Is there any kind of OpenGraph integration . I debugged the tweet a bit and I see that it uses some evil iframes and maybe a proprietary embedding technique . See

There is not yet an open program to be involved in our details pane. We use a mixture of technologies, including OEmbed to accomplish these. There’s nothing inherently evil about IFRAMEs and they’d likely be sandboxed within IFRAMEs regardless of whether using a pure OEmbed solution or otherwise. Look for news in the future on any opportunities for developers to participate, should they arise.

Twitter - please allow devs to embed rich media via opengraph tags, this would be a fantastic addition to the platform and would undoubtedly increase user engagement and overall retention.

Dear Twitter,
I can get non YouTube videos to play in Facebook posts, I can get non YouTube videos into Google search results but I can’t get a player/video independent of YouTube, Blip.tv or Vimeo into Tweets. Whilest I appreciate this is tricky I love the Opengraph style of markup (with an Oembed oneliner) that Blip.tv have agreed with yourselves to be acceptable.
