Retweets Truncated

When I am fetching tweets on UserTimeline, in case user has retweeted someone’s tweet, it appears in the user timeline. If that tweet is full length tweet, then after adding “RT@ScreenName” to the original tweet it becomes even longer. Such tweets are getting truncated when being fetched using REST API for User Timeline tweets. Is there a solution to this problem. Kindly inform.

Make sure you’re looking at the right fields. When you’re consuming a retweet, it will have a child “retweeted_status” object – inside there is another text field – that’s the text of the original tweet and probably what you’re actually looking for.
