Retrieve Users whose screenName matches specific string

I’m using the REST service at GET users/search. I need to retrieve all users whose ScreenName contains a given string (e.g. names containing the “research” word). Is there a query language/formatting for twitter? I’d like to know also if one can filter users by location with the API.

See [node:10366], you can simply pass any substring to that endpoint and get results.

thanks Sylvain, actually I wasn’t very clear in my previous post. I need to do some filtering on just the screen names and not also on description and location. I read better the specs and seems that no exact match search is provided so nevermind.
