Reply Web Intent Event not firing callback

#1

using Reply in the popup web intent I cannot get any twttr.events of any type to callback.

I am using the widgets.js file (I’ve tried both sync and async)
And I have
twttr.events.bind(‘tweet’, somejsfunction);

But it seems that only Tweet buttons with the class=“twitter-share-button” actually cause a callback from the popup window.

What is the best solution for being made aware that a reply to a posted tweet has been made?

Hi,

I can reproduce the problem and I and found the source. We’ll aim to have a fix out for these events (click, tweet, retweet, favorite) from embedded Tweets and timelines later this week.

Hi,

I am facing issues with the callback operation specifically in IE browsers. all other browsers, it is working as expected. You can find the HTML code below:

<script src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Tweet
<script type="text/javascript">

                                twttr.ready(function (twttr) {

alert(twttr);
// bind events here
twttr.events.bind(‘tweet’, function (event) {

                                                        alert('testing');

                                            });

                                });
</script>

Same code works fine in Chrome, Firefox, but not in IE(any version).

Moreover, when we host the same code in Apache server, it works in IE too. But when it is hosted in IIS, it doesn’t.

Can anyone help here.

raj.
