Remaining hits value is not changing using abrahams twitteroauth php library

I’m using abrahams twitteroauth library found here: https://github.com/abraham/twitteroauth. The problem Im facing right now is when I request the rate_limit remaining hits, its saying 350. However, I’ve made several posts so I imagined it would reflect against the rate limit remaining hits value. Can someone explain why the remaining hits value is not changing from 350, despite me making several post requests?

Write actions aren’t rate limited in the same sense as read-based requests are. If you’re looking at rate limit counters, you’re looking at read-based rate limits, not writes.

Also, it sounds like you’re using v1 of the API which is deprecated and will be retired on May 7, 2013. Make sure you start using API v1.1 instead.
