Receiving "The text of your Tweet exceeds the number of allowed URLs" error on tweet update

When update status with 11 url links in tweet , we received this error message “The text of your Tweet exceeds the number of allowed URLs”. Is there any restriction in url count?If it is , please let us know.
Note: The same thing is not working in twitter website too.

There is an upper limit of 10 URLs in a Tweet. I thought this was mentioned in the Tweet Updates page, but it looks like this was not included there for some reason. I will see what we can do to improve the clarity here.
