I was getting the same error. Thanks for the info. I scrolled down the message box and filled in the “Website Twitter Username” and “Website Description” fields and all worked fine.
Thanks. I didn’t realize the forms below.
Funny error. First I got the same, then I came here and finally got approved.
I also applied for Twitter Cards, and am getting the same issue - Reason: is not a valid screen name. I’m not sure what this means?? Does anyone know?
Where are the extra fields that need filling in?
Where are the extra fields that need to be filled out?
I filled out “Website Twitter Username” and “Website Description” fields, and it still not approved. I don’t understand what I need to do? Please help.
Thanks to @tonykhue as I was getting the same error and didn’t notice that there were extra fields in the modal dialog (approval request form). I filled out the extra info and could successfully submit the form. I’m not sure about this but when I entered Korean character the form didn’t seem to accept it. After I change it in English it was proceeded.
Ah yes extra fields! When in the “Request approval page” press the down arrow on your keyboard, there are more fields.
I filled out all the fields, and it still isn’t approved:(
Oh what a dummy!! Yes now I found the extra fields and it has let me submit - I await approval. Thanks guys.
Submitting the form, once everything validates, is just the first step. It then takes a few weeks for our team to review and approve submissions. You will get an email when your submission is approved (or rejected for a technical or policy reason).
Hello, I am desperate, in the test page works fine but on twitter doesn,t appear nothing, and wich one is the code for images
Thanks, had the same issue, didn’t scroll down.
same for us
Hi @AbcLuxe,
Let me know your URL, and I can look at the HTML for you.
Thanks!
I’m encountering the same problem. Our standard summary cards were approved long ago, but in filling out the form to add large-image cards, “Website Twitter Username” is both required and disabled. Thus, “Reason: is not a valid screen name”.
Likewise, Let me know your URL, and I can look at the HTML for you.
Sample large-image post:
@stinque we have the exact same problem. Did you figure out what it was?
Ours is for ‘gallery’ type Twitter Card, but it will not allow me to enter Website Twitter Username (greyed out, but required!) - I just keep getting “Reason: is not a valid screen name”.
