Hi,

I have a Twitter Application my users link via oauth. Ideally, I want to get realtime (or near realtime) updates when my users (twitter users who have my app authorized) tweet. In other social services (such as FourSquare or Instagram) a notification url can be configured and my servers receive live updates. Is there an equivalent facility/setup for Twitter?

No, there’s no equivalent. The Streaming API is probably the right fit for you on this – you open a stream based on a few criteria and just listen for the new events as they happen in real time.
