Public Streaming API with Oauth and priveleges

Hi, currently we have an elevated role in “filter” and “tracks” endpoints and we login with basic auth. We plan this month to upgrade to v1.1. With wich app should us authenticate to maintain this privileges? Are this privileges attached to the user accounts instead?

Hi there,

Streaming API roles are currently attached to specific accounts. It doesn’t matter what application you use to connect, as long as the access token being used to connect represents the user with the elevated role.
