Programming a QR URL so that a user can follow just by snapping

Hi,

I am trying to update an offering we have, currently a user snaps a QR code, is directed to a Twitter account and has to press follow, is there a way to program the URL on out site to make it automatically follow that user (i.e. doesn’t have to press follow)?

Thanks in advance (I’m not a developer but would like to understand what is possible when I approach one for the build,

This probably wouldn’t be possible to do in a secure fashion. You’d have to establish a pre-existing relationship with the user and hold their access tokens to act on their behalf, while securely confirming their identity when the the QR code was followed to ensure that you’re enacting the API call for the right user.
