No success. It seems the 1.1 API requires some OAuth authorization and won’t allow fetching tweets with javascript alone, and some server-side code would be needed!
This breaks everybody’s websites that currently use only javascript to display and customize presentation of the tweets. Totally pathetic that Twitter has done this. I used to ask all my clients to create a Twitter account and integrated their tweets on the website. Will stop promoting Twitter henceforth!
