Problem with https://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/sabicchile.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count

#1

Im trying to put a twitter box in a website, but with this link doesnt show anything, i dont know why but with any other user it works, the twitter is @sabicchile

https://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/sabicchile.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=4

#2

I recommend using valid URLs for the API like: “https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=sabicchile&count=4

Keep in mind that if a user’s last 4 tweets were retweets, at this time the request you’re making would return no results because you’re not explicitly asking for retweets.

#3

And to this link? https://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/freesurf0.rss

#4

You’ll need to adjust that URL similarly to how I describe above. See this FAQ for more context:

[faq:11716]

I’ve just tried your suggestion and I’m afraid it doesn’t work.

I’ve had a twitter feed running on my site for ages using the blogger.js method and now the feed box is empty.

If you go to the link you supplied as a solution it returns this error:

twittercallback2({“errors”:[{“message”:“Sorry, that page does not exist”,“code”:34}]});

Any other ideas?

My site is:

http://www.bybrook.co.uk

And the feed is on the homepage…

Thanks,

Andy

I am having an issue with no tweet showing on webpage.(http://wyan.suffolk.lib.ny.us/index.htm) for some reason I am now getting a “Twitter Offline” message in the twitter box.
I am using the codes “html://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/WyandanchLib.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=1”

This code has been working for the past five months up until about two weeks ago.

#7

Oh snap I got the issue resolved. Thanks @episod for posting information
Previous working code
"html://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/WyandanchLib.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=1"

New Updated Code
"htmls://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/WyandanchLib.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=1"

#9

https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/youraccountname.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=4

Thanks!

#10

#11

#12

Thnks all!!

#13

Hello all

Can anyon help me please whay this code not working on blogspot.com longer?
What is correct script?

#14

Excellent thanks for the help. Now is working on my site.

#15

@diaquad i dont know if you have resolved this issue but the twitter api url changed it is now

http://api.twitter.com/1/stauses etc.

just add ‘api’ before referencing twitter in URL’s and add a ‘1’ before statuses!

Should work!

#16

This did it for me. This also made it a lot faster. The twitter feed would be one of the last things to load on the page and now it’s always there with the page as it loads. Thank you.

#17

Can anyone help…this code is no longer working on http://wyan.suffolk.lib.ny.us/index.htm

"http://twitter.com/javascripts/blogger.js">

#18

I try only change

https://api.twitter.com/javascripts/blogger.js

for

https://twitter.com/javascripts/blogger.js (without “api.”)

and work it…

Hi, Im using the URL below for accessing my latest twitter feed

http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=’.$twitter_id.’&include_rts=1&count=’.$no_of_feed

and i’m using the following PHP codes to do that:

<?php $twitter_id = "prof_abbynucup"; $no_of_feed = 1; function linkable($text = ''){ $text = preg_replace("/\s+/", ' ', str_replace(array("\r\n", "\r", "\n"), ' ', $text)); $data = ''; foreach( explode(' ', $text) as $str){ if (preg_match('#^http?#i', trim($str)) || preg_match('#^www.?#i', trim($str))) { $data .= ''.$str.' '; } else { $data .= $str .' '; } } return trim($data); } $responseJson = file_get_contents('https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/'.$twitter_id.'.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count='.$no_of_feed); if($responseJson) { $responseAray = json_decode($responseJson); foreach($responseAray as $resp) { $crea = linkable($resp->created_at); $postedLast = explode(" ", $crea); ?>
  	<a href="https://twitter.com/<?php echo $resp->user->screen_name; ?>" target="_blank">@<?php echo $resp->user->screen_name; ?></a> <b>said:</b> <?php echo linkable($resp->text); ?> <b>last</b> <?php echo $postedLast[0]." - ".$postedLast[1]." ".$postedLast[2].", ".$postedLast[5]; ?><br />
<?php
}

}
?>

the code above is working great before, but since API v1 is no longer functional, I’ve tried using @WyandanchLib 's code:

“htmls://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/WyandanchLib.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=1”

and @quantitsearch 's code too:

https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/youraccountname.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=4

but still no good. can anyone help me? please…
